weather on match day in November) by having us go prone in the
snow next month."
I was right. We had a full 10 inches on the deck for December's
match. 13 shooters braved the elements for this month, and we
had a damned good time despite the weather. Thank God for 4 wheel
drive...othwise, moving the match equipment would have been a
pain the butt. Not many had actuall experience shooting in the
cold and snow, but did it anyway. The collapsing stocks proved
to well worth the investment as the extra layers of clothes gave
a few inches to length of pull for the rifles. We also had one
pistol freeze to the inside of the holster making for a difficult
draw...to say the least.
